Up to £13.46 per hour inclusive of all enhancements
As the Senior Care Lead, you will take a leading role in the administration of medicines, care planning, taking responsibility for infection control audits, moving and positioning practical assessments plus ‘buddying with’, training and supervising new staff.
Under the direction of the nursing team and working closely with the health care teams, you will lead by example to ensure that our residents are receiving an excellent standard of care, underpinned by our 5 values. You will regularly review and update written care plans, ensuring that individual resident requirements are delivered by the all teams in a confidential and sensitive way.
Additionally, you will take responsibility for the personal care of residents, their individual needs and overall physical and intellectual well-being, reporting any decline or concerns to the Nurses as and when required.
If successfully appointed, we will invite you to attend a bespoke Senior Care Lead training programme which will include medication training, first line leadership skills and much more. Your probation is subject to meeting the course requirements.
An offer of employment will be subject to your attendance and successful completion of the Senior Care Lead training programme which will commence on the 2nd November 2020 for 2 weeks. You will need to be available to attend this training programme.
Ideally, you will already have experience of working as a Senior Carer or Team Leader within a care home environment, with at least two years’ experience and on this occasion, priority will be given to applicants who have already attained an NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
Reliable, supportive, confidential, flexible and an effective communicator are just some of the personal attributes required to be successful in the role of Senior Care Lead.
We are a family-owned care home provider with 21 homes in Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and West Sussex. All are fantastic homely environments registered for nursing care, with four specifically dedicated to dementia care. Seven of our homes are officially rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
