Activity Team Leader (Events Organiser)

Based at The Aldbury, Poole, Dorset

£12.24 per hour (weekdays) plus weekend enhancement to £13.74 per hour

This contract is offered as 40 hours per week including alternate weekends. Shifts will be allocated on a rota basis. You will be expected to work a variety of shifts which will include early breakfast clubs and evening activities.

 

Activity Team Leader (Events Organiser)

Are you an experienced Activity Team Leader or events organiser looking for a fun and varied role where no two days will be the same? Are you enthusiastic, energetic and creative?  

We have an exciting opportunity for an Activity Team Leader to join our dynamic team at The Aldbury in Poole, a dedicated dementia care home. 

Your Role

You’ll bring a breath of fresh air to The Aldbury and play a vital role in enhancing our residents’ quality of life. You’ll inject fun and creativity into a calendar of engaging activities. Whether it’s an individual indoor session, or a lovely group day out, you’ll champion the residents’ wellbeing.

You’ll be responsible for managing and working closely with a supportive team of Activity Coordinators. You’ll manage rotas, work allocation, team budget and resident records, and you’ll strengthen your team through further support and training.

As our Activity Team Leader (Event Organiser) you will also support the organisation of fundraising, gala and themed Care Home events.

About You

As a ‘team leader’ you’ll be someone who has demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills in previous roles.  We actively encourage applications from candidates in health and social care, support workers, teaching environments, entertainment or other similar roles where responsibility for activities and groups of people are key.
