Senior Care Lead

Based at St Catherines View, Winchester SO22 4BL

42 hours per week, days or nights, including alternate weekends

Up to £14.54 per hour inclusive of all enhancements 

Rate breakdown:

£12.29 per hour base rate, plus £1.50 per hour weekend enhancement and additional 75p per hour night enhancement (if applicable)

 

 

As the Senior Care Lead, you will take a leading role in the administration of medicines, care planning, taking responsibility for infection control audits, moving and positioning practical assessments plus assisting with the training and supervising of new staff.

Under the direction of the nursing team and working closely with the health care teams, you will lead by example to ensure that our residents are receiving an excellent standard of care, underpinned by our 5 values. You will regularly review and update written care plans, ensuring that individual resident requirements are delivered by the all teams in a confidential and sensitive way.

Additionally, you will take responsibility for the personal care of residents, their individual needs and overall physical and intellectual well-being, reporting any decline or concerns to the Nurses as and when required. 

If successfully appointed, we will invite you to attend a bespoke Senior Care Lead training programme which will include medication training, first line leadership skills and much more. Your probation is subject to meeting the course requirements.

An offer of employment will be subject to your attendance and successful completion of the Senior Care Lead 2 week training programme which will commence on 12th July 2021. 

About You

You will be ready to take the next step in your career, being a positive role model for your colleagues and someone who can evidence a journey of personal development. You will have at least two year's experience working within adult care, ideally as a Senior Carer or Team Leader, and be qualified to NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
