Colten Companion (Activity Organiser)
Based at Woodpeckers our 'outstanding' care home in Brockenhurst, Hampshire
Rate of pay up to £11.71 per hour
Pay breakdown: £10.21 per hour, plus £1.50 per hour at weekends
24 hours per week including alternate weekends, over 3 days (8 hour shifts) . You will actively encourage involvement with community groups, inviting people into the home to join us on occasions such as gala functions, raffles, fetes, coffee mornings and other sponsored activities. The role is fun and varied; no two days are the same and you will be making a positive difference to the physical and intellectual wellbeing of residents in your care.

As someone who enjoys bringing sunshine into the lives of older people you will love to organise events and activities and have a happy, friendly disposition. You’ll be a committed, caring and patient person who shares our goal of delivering excellence in person centred care. You will feel confident being in front of groups of people, providing group entertainment and equally happy to participate in one-to-one activities.
In this role, we look for personal qualities that match our company values: friendly, kind, individual, reassuring and honest. Other essential qualities are about being flexible and approachable, with excellent communication skills and a good level of computer and keyboard skills.
A relevant qualification or experience in entertainment / performance is desirable but not essential.
We will support you with ongoing development, in a team-based community, with staffing levels recognised as among the best in the care sector.
