About the role

As a Clinical Manager, working as part of a 5-person strong assurance team and the wider Operational team at Colten Care, you’ll be leading the clinical excellence delivery within Colten Care, ensuring the best care is delivered to all our residents and that appropriate support is provided to families and carers. This is a regional position, taking clinical responsibility for the New Forest cluster of homes within the Colten Care group. Flexibility to cover other care homes within the group is essential.

You will be an expert in adult frailty nursing and end-of-life care, with the ability to provide ‘best practice’ support and advice across our group of homes to enable staff to have a full understanding of high-quality clinical care. At times you will liaise with external agencies to both increase knowledge within the company and promote Colten Care’s nursing credentials.

You will role model outstanding clinical leadership. Your expert knowledge will support in the recruitment and retention of nurses, shaping and delivering clinical training and development of our Clinical Leads and Senior Nurses to ensure that all our homes are clinically well led and managed to a high standard.  You will also share responsibility for the development of Trainee Nursing Associates, Student Nurses and Preceptees.  You’ll be a confident coach and mentor, sharing best practice, challenging and improving areas of weaker practice.

The role drives forward the clinical and quality assurance through the analysis of clinical data and regular clinical governance reporting to evidence best care, demonstrating continuous improvement in care and service delivery as well as meeting regulatory compliance.

We are a family company with family values, and you will be responsible for promoting “All about me” our resident focused culture within Colten Care.

About you

As a senior leader and Registered General Nurse (RGN), you will evidence a proven track record in the adult nursing sector and continuous professional development, demonstrating excellence in frailty nursing and end of life care. You will be a confident clinician within the care home sector.

It is essential that you have previous experience of risk management and clinical governance to operate competently at a strategic level. You will collect, analyse and act on data, enabling you to focus on the homes that need support and attention. An effective communicator with a professional approach, you’ll be able to build an excellent rapport with our care home teams inspiring confidence through your clinical expertise.

As this is a regional role, you will be expected to drive, with access to your own transport and be flexible in your approach to working with the addition of ‘on-call’ responsibilities.

We recruit people that reflect our values of being kind, friendly, reassuring and honest – the successful candidate will be an individual that stands out as being at the ‘top of their game’.
