Activity Leader 

Based at Newstone House, Sturminster Newton DT10 1FF

£12.00 per hour plus enhancements

Pay Breakdown:

£12.00 p/h basic weekday rate

Plus an additional £1.50 p/h weekend enhancement

40 hours per week including alternate weekends. Shifts will be allocated on a rota basis. You will be expected to work a variety of shifts between the hours of 8am to 8pm to provide activities and companionship for residents throughout the day and into the evening.

Are you an experienced Activity Leader looking for a fun and varied role where no two days will be the same? Are you enthusiastic, energetic and creative?  

We have an exciting opportunity for an Activity Leader to join our dynamic team at Newstone House in Sturminster Newton, Dorset. This is a full time role with an hour rate of up to £13.50 per hour (inclusive of all enhancements).

Your Role

You’ll bring a breath of fresh air to Newstone House, and play a vital role in enhancing our residents’ quality of life. You’ll inject fun and creativity into a calendar of engaging activities. Whether it’s an individual indoor session, or a lovely group day out, you’ll champion the residents’ wellbeing.

You’ll be responsible for managing and working closely with a supportive team of Activity Coordinators. You’ll manage rotas, work allocation, team budget and resident records, and you’ll strengthen your team through further support and training.

As our Activity Leader you will also support the organisation of fundraising, gala and themed Care Home events.
