Housekeeper and Laundry Assistant positions available

Based at Newstone House, Sturminster Newton, Dorset DT10 1FF

We currently have the following contracts available:

Housekeeper - 24 hour contract, covering shifts between 8am - 8pm, including alternate weekends

Laundry Assistant - 15 hour contract, covering shifts between 1pm - 4pm, including alternate weekends

Housekeeping & Laundry Assistant - 12 hour contract (Housekeeping, 1 x 6 hour shift between core hours of 8am - 8pm and Laundry Assistant, 2 x 3 hour shifts between 1pm - 4pm) including alternate weekends

Additional hours / overtime opportunities available to suit your circumstances

Up to £11.04 per hour inclusive of all enhancements

Pay breakdown:

Basic Pay Rate: £8.72 per hour

Plus £1.50 p/h weekend enhancement 

Enhancements for a relevant, job specific NVQ or Diploma Level qualification are paid as follows:  NVQ 2 additional 56p p/h, OR NVQ 3 additional 82p p/h

You’ll contribute to the exceptional care we provide to our residents, keeping true to our values of being ‘friendly, kind, individual, reassuring and honest’. You will be involved in daily cleaning (and deep cleaning duties when required), maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness in communal areas and residents’ rooms. In the laundry, you will ensure that items are freshly washed and dried, using the appropriate machinery, with residents’ clothing returned clean and pressed, ready to wear. We’ll provide all the equipment you need to maintain health and safety standards.

About You

Previous experience is helpful but isn’t necessary. If you have work experience within housekeeping, cleaning, domestic duties, whether in care, hospitality or other industry sector this will be an advantage. Ideally you will have some transferable skills working with customers to high standards.
