Introduction

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Gardener to join our team and become a valued part of day-to-day life at our luxury nursing home in Salisbury.

This is no ordinary gardening job!

There is great potential in working with our residents and the tremendous satisfaction that can bring. You’ll be supported by a Head Gardener and our strong Gardening Team, with the opportunity to develop your horticultural skills as you play an essential role in creating and maintaining the beautiful outdoor spaces that help our residents lead a fulfilled life.

The inspiring and relaxing surroundings are essential to our residents’ individual wellbeing. You’ll engage with them and encourage them to continue, or discover, an interest in nature, plants, flowers and the seasons.

You’ll support and encourage residents to explore their gardens, with the option of running ‘gardening clubs’ in addition to your contract.

If applying your gardening skills to the care environment is for you, and you want to be part of something truly special where there is opportunity to develop your career, we’d love you to apply. A member of our dedicated recruitment team will then be in touch to discuss the hours available and help identify those that best suit your work/life balance.

About you

You’ll have a passion for gardening, with proven gardening experience, knowledge of horticulture and, ideally, an understanding of the care home environment. You’re adept at prioritising tasks and working efficiently on your own initiative.  You’re confident using a wide range of garden equipment including power tools.

You’re polite, courteous, and respectful, with good communications skills and literacy in English.  You’re approachable, with a can-do attitude and a genuine interest in helping our residents make the most of our gardens.

You’ll be a car driver and own your own car.
