Activities Organiser

Up to £11.92 per hour, including weekend enhancements

24 hours per week, typically spread across the week and designed around the resident, who is at the heart of all we do. There will be alternate weekend working and varied shift patterns to cover breakfast clubs through to early evening activities.

 

Introduction

We’re looking for an Activities Organiser to join our dynamic team and become a valued part of day-to-day life in our home, Bourne View in Poole.

You’ll play an essential role injecting fun and creativity into a calendar of engaging activities, bringing a breath of fresh air to everyone as you assist residents to lead a fulfilled life. Whether it’s an individual indoor session or a lovely group day out, you’ll champion the residents’ wellbeing at all times.

You’ll coordinate a rolling calendar of entertainment within the home, ranging from games and quizzes to arts and crafts, days out on the minibus to gala events. You’ll work with community groups to invite people into the home for coffee mornings, functions, fetes and other sponsored activity.

About You

You love bringing sunshine into the lives of our residents . You’re an entertainer, confident in front of groups of people, but equally happy in one-to-one activities. You have a happy, friendly disposition and a caring, committed and patient attitude.

You’re a team player who is reliable and organised, with excellent communication skills and a passion for entertaining and making people smile

A relevant qualification or experience in entertainment / performance is desirable but not essential.
