Home Manager

Based at Belmore Lodge. Our 55 bedded, care home part of the family owned Colten Care group of 21 nursing homes located in the sought-after Hampshire quayside town of Lymington. 

£72,000 per annum, depending on experience plus discretionary bonus

40 hours per week, including occasional weekend working. Plus, emergency ‘on-call’ duties shared with the home’s management team

Colten Care are recruiting for a Home Manager to manage staff and resources so that each resident can enjoy a fulfilled life. You’ll be working closely with your Clinical Lead and the wider healthcare and hospitality teams to ensure the quality of individual service and care consistently meet our own high standards and those of our regulators.

Reporting to the regional Operations Manager, you will create and lead a vision for the home to ensure a philosophy of continuous improvement, encouraging and supporting the home’s journey to ‘outstanding’. Whilst managing people and processes, being a Home Manager is a complex, influential and highly rewarding role involving close liaison with residents, their families, professional contacts and multi-disciplinary teams.

There is plenty of scope to build and maintain community contacts, whilst continuing to grow the home's reputation connecting with community engagement opportunities in the local area. To help you achieve and be successful, you’ll be supported by our fantastic customer service and marketing teams.

So what can you bring?

Our ideal candidate will have relevant care home management experience and a good track record of performance.  You’ll ideally have experience of working in a medium to large nursing home, understand the commercial aspects of the business and the CQC regulations.

If you are a qualified Nurse, that would be great but not essential, as you will be supported by a Clinical Lead.  A Level 5 diploma/NVQ qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable.
