Weekend Kitchen Assistants / Kitchen Domestics / Waiting roles (every Saturday and Sunday)

Based at a Colten Care home in Ferndown, BH22 (Ferndown, Longham and West Moors)

We are recruiting for various catering positions at our care homes in Ferndown. The specific locations and shifts will be discussed during the shortlisting and interview stages.

Contracts are offered between 10-15 hours per week, every Saturday and Sunday (selection of mornings, afternoons and evenings available).

Additional hours / overtime opportunities available to suit your circumstances

Pay Rate: £10.22 per hour (weekend rate); weekly paid

Enhancements for a relevant, job specific NVQ or Diploma Level qualification are paid as follows:  NVQ 2 additional 56p p/h, OR NVQ 3 additional 82p p/h

In joining our team, you’ll contribute to the exceptional care we provide to our residents, keeping true to our values of being ‘friendly, kind, individual, reassuring and honest’. The roles involve various kitchen or waiting duties, working to the highest possible standards. Depending on the role, you will support the Chef by carrying out responsibilities such as preparing light meals, keeping residents' drinks topped up, providing a trolley service of drinks, dishwashing, using kitchen equipment, waiting at tables and overall providing an excellent dining and catering experience.

You will observe and maintain Health and Safety standards and full training will be provided. All this activity supports the wellbeing of our residents through the delivery of high standards of nutrition and hygiene.

About you

Previous experience is helpful but isn’t necessary. If you do have experience of working in a kitchen, catering, restaurant or similar background then this will be an advantage. Most importantly, you will have some transferable skills working with customers to high standards.
