Experienced Health Care Assistants 

Based at Castle View, Poundbury, Dorchester DT1 2NH

Hours: 36 hours per week, days, to include alternate weekends

 

Pay breakdown:

Up to £11.79 per hour inclusive of all enhancements 

Basic Pay Rate: £8.72 per hour 

Plus £1.50 p/h weekend enhancement and 75p p/h night enhancement, when applicable

Enhancements for an NVQ or Diploma Level qualification in Health & Social Care are paid as follows:  NVQ 2 additional 56p p/h, OR NVQ 3 additional 82p p/h

So, what does the job involve?

As an experienced Health Care Assistant at Colten Care, you’ll contribute to the exceptional care we provide to our residents, keeping true to our values of being ‘friendly, kind, individual, reassuring and honest’. You will be involved in all aspects of our residents’ personal care, making a positive difference every day and helping them to lead a dignified and fulfilling life. This includes help and practical assistance with personal care and support for recreational activities throughout the day. 

 

About you

Ideally you will have at least two year's experience as a Health Care Assistant, Domiciliary Carer, Support Worker or similar role. With your previous knowledge and experience of the care sector, you will be able to individualise the care provided to suit the needs and wishes of our residents, making their experience truly 'person-centred'.

We recognise NVQ and diploma level qualifications in Health and Social Care at Levels 2 and 3 and pay an enhanced rate for these qualifications. By gaining these qualifications, this may lead to progression opportunities to Senior Care Lead and beyond, supported by our Learning and Development team.
