WEEKEND KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Based at Amberwood House nursing home, Ferndown, BH22 9AX

Working every Saturday and Sunday, 8am - 2pm

Additional hours / overtime opportunities available to suit your circumstances

 

Weekend rate £10.22 per hour plus enhancements for a relevant, job specific NVQ or Diploma Level qualification are paid as follows:  NVQ 2 additional 56p p/h, OR NVQ 3 additional 82p p/h

You’ll contribute to the exceptional care we provide to our residents, keeping true to our values of being ‘friendly, kind, individual, reassuring and honest’. The role involves undertaking all kitchen domestic duties to the highest possible standard. You will support our fabulous Chefs by carrying out duties including dishwashing, using kitchen equipment, preparing salads, sandwiches and drinks, and maintaining general Health and Safety standards. All this activity supports the wellbeing of our residents through the delivery of high standards of nutrition and hygiene.

 

About you

Previous experience is helpful but isn’t necessary. If you do have work experience of working in a kitchen, catering, restaurant or similar background then this will be an advantage. Ideally you will have some transferable skills working with customers to high standards.
